Meet Dr. Jerry Udelson

He also participated in dialogue with Cuban dentists sharing ideas about how their pediatric dental care differs from that offered in the United States.

Dr. Jerry has the expertise, experience, and heart to treat children with a variety of special needs within his practice. His desire to work with special needs patient began years ago. While caring for his brother Mark who was severely disabled with cerebral palsy, he found that his capacity to care for him was natural and the results rewarding.

For many years, Dr. Jerry has offered his time and service to the community. His commitment to the special needs population is evident in his continued volunteer efforts, which has included treatment of individuals from The Infant Welfare Society.

Amanda - Treatment Coordinator

Amanda was born in Elmhurst and grew up loving the area. She has been working in the dental field since 2011. The opportunity arose for Amanda to take a job at a general dental office and she knew right away she loved the field of dentistry, but she missed working with kids. Amanda previously worked in a daycare for toddlers and has always enjoyed working with kids. She was thrilled to continue her passion for dentistry in our pediatric dental office. Amanda prides herself on making dental visits easy for her patients because she can relate to kids and make them feel like her own. She loves her job and wants to continue to make the dentist a fun experience for all of her patients. She has two kids of her own and a wonderful husband. She loves all things DIY. Outside the office, Amanda and her family love the outdoors, and their black lab, Ivy.

Hallie - Dental Assistant

Hallie has been working in the dental field since September 2015. She grew up in Woodridge, IL and currently resides in Glen Ellyn. Outside of the office, Kati coaches age group swimming for Team Millennium and plays on a club water polo team.

Marlene - Scheduling Coordinator

Marlene has been in the field of pediatric dentistry since 2010. Marlene grew up in Elmhurst, and she is proud of her knowledge of the history of the city. She attended Elmhurst College and graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and has had several drawings and photographs published. Two of her favorite classes at Elmhurst College were "Child Development" and "Child Psychology", because Marlene loves to work with kids. She at one point worked two part time jobs while simultaneously being an extra in the movie, "Pretty in Pink.” (You can look for her in the high school prom scene.) Marlene wishes there had been a Pediatric Dental Office in her neighborhood growing up, as this really does make coming to the Dentist, fun! Outside of the office, Marlene divides her time by caring for her elderly mother-in-Law, and going through all the "new" experiences with her teenage daughter!

Michelle - Scheduling Coordinator

With many years of customer service experience, Michelle began working at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids in early 2016. She has lived in the town of Streamwood her entire life, and hopes to settle somewhere newer in the near future. Maybe Elmhurst? Who knows! Michelle was an English Studies major, with a focus on creative writing and linguistics, at Illinois State University. There she found her love for children while working with an organization called College Mentors for Kids. Her other passions include writing, anything Harry Potter, and Justin Bieber.

Sara - Head Dental Assistant

Sara is a native Floridian who relocated to the Chicago area in the spring of 2012. Sara has been in the dental field since 2008 and is super passionate about what she does. She loves working with children and easing any dental anxieties that may accompany a trip to the dentist. “I believe coming to the dentist should be a fun and exciting experience, not one that comes with worries or anxieties!” In her free time Sara enjoys exploring Chicago, reading and gardening (when the weather is warm!).

Peg - Practice Relations Coordinator

Peg has been working in the dental field since 2013, and started working for Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids in summer 2016. Peg was born in Elmhurst, moved to Kansas City, Kansas, and then came back to Illinois with her family at age 10. She went to high school in Naperville, IL and then studied Early Childhood Education at College of DuPage. Eventually, Peg moved back to Elmhurst where she had her first daughter and worked as a stay at home mom. Soon after that is when she started working at an oral surgeon’s office as a treatment coordinator. Through her own life experiences, Peg realized she really enjoys the medical field and helping people in that setting. She loves working at Elmhurst Dentistry for Kids because it feels like a family! When she’s not at work, Peg spends time with my family and friends, but her favorite thing to do is hang out with her daughters. Peg also likes to workout, do yoga and learn more about essential oils!

Maritza - Dental Assistant

Maritza has been in the dental field since 2011. Before starting at Elmhurst Dentistry for kids in the fall of 2016, she previously worked in a general office. Maritza enjoys working with kids and her goal is to always make them feel at home at the office. She's sure to get a smile out of even our most challenging patients. Maritza lives in Elmwood Park and loves to spend as much time as possible with her family, especially her kids. They like going to the Brookfield Zoo and going out for breakfast together!
